I am thrilled to share that this year marks a significant milestone in my life – my 50th birthday! For more than half of my life, I have been dedicated to the field of special education, primarily working with children with autism and other neurological disorders. This journey has been incredibly fulfilling, and I am passionate about continuing to make a difference in the lives of these amazing children.

Currently, I work for a private day school specializing in educating children with autism and other neurological disorders. Autism is a condition that affects 1 in 54 children in the United States, according to recent research. The prevalence of autism has increased over the years, highlighting the urgent need for specialized educational programs and support.

As I reflect on my 50th birthday, I can’t think of a better way to celebrate this milestone than by raising funds for The Center for Applied Behavioral Instruction (CABI), the organization where I have dedicated my efforts. CABI provides invaluable services and support to children with autism, helping them achieve their full potential.

This year also marks the third year that I will be running the Falmouth Road Race. Given that I am turning 50, this race holds special significance for me. I am incredibly thankful for my health and the ability to compete in this challenging run, especially in the summer heat and humidity. I am looking forward to running strong and making a positive impact.
