My Story…
Hi everybody, this year I have decided to run the Falmouth Road Race and I am running in memory of my beautiful daughter Lilah on the Heart Warrior Foundation team. Lilah was born with a rare congenital heart defect with no known cure. We were lucky to have her home for several months with admissions in and out of the hospital. We brought her in for her first open heart surgery last May and she had complications which eventually led to heart failure and being put on the heart transplant list. We waited for almost five months but we didn’t receive a heart in time. She passed away shortly after her first birthday, though her time with us was short, she brought us so much joy and smiled through breathing tubes and ECMO. Please consider donating to this great cause as it helps patients and their families tremendously.
