My Story…
AJ Congdon was a vibrant and spirited 8-year-old from Oxford, MA, whose life was tragically cut short by DIPG, an inoperable brain tumor in children. Known for his infectious energy, AJ brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. Despite his young age, he showed immense bravery and strength throughout his battle with the illness. AJ's love for life, his family, and his friends left a lasting impact on all who knew him. His memory continues to inspire those who strive to make a difference in the fight against DIPG, honoring his legacy with love and determination.
Running the Falmouth Road Race holds special significance for me this year as I do it in honor of AJ. AJ's battle and untimely passing have profoundly shifted my perspective on life, emphasizing the importance of cherishing every moment and supporting those in need. By participating in this race, I aim to raise awareness and funds for DIPG research, hoping to contribute to a future where no child has to face this devastating illness. Through each mile, I carry AJ's spirit with me, driven by the love and memories we shared.
