Discover the teamwork and competitive spirit of the Ekiden. This relay race will inspire, motivate and test you as you prepare to compete against teams in our community. Create your own team of runners! Each of you will then complete a distance between 5K and 6 K, totaling the half marathon distance. In teams of 4 , each runner will complete one of the 4 stages of 5k, 5k, 5k, 6k, in order, totaling the distance of a half marathon. Not just a test of speed, but also of tactics, as you determine who is best suited to complete each leg. Team Lottery will be done 3 days before race day. Event Details
- All participants must complete Online Registration via race roster link.
- Teams must provide their own support vehicles and water.
- Physical tag off at designated exchange zones.
- Race will start at 5:00 am .
- Competitive Teams: Must be mixed relay format. For people competing to win top 3, you must have AT LEAST 1 Male or Female on the team. Last time we had a competitive format in was in 2022 and we required 2 male and 2 female however we changed it to just as long as there are both genders on the team. You cannot have an all same sex team if you want to compete for the award medals.
For Fun: You can have anyone in the team. You will receive a finish time however will not be counted towards the medal.
