Raise money for Maitland Trail Association

Since 1951, MVCA has planted over 1.4 million trees throughout the watershed. The overall priority is to build the resiliency of the watershed to absorb the impacts of disturbances such as climate change, drought, flooding pests and invasive species while still having a healthy forests, rivers and soil.

The Maitland Trail Association was established in 1975. The MTA is non-profit organization that is responsible for, and dedicated to, protecting, maintaining, and preserving the natural environment of the over 80 kms of trails.

This is achieved by dedicated volunteers who are responsible for removing invasive species, planting new trees, implementing, and maintaining trails, including the construction of boardwalks, and stairs, and grass cutting; all for the safety of hikers.
