Maitland Trail Association - El Camino Fundraiser

PRE-CAMINO: Review and check your RaceRoster registration; Make sure you know when your check-in window is.

Check the local weather forecast to make sure you have suitable clothing. Long pants and closed shoes are highly recommended

due to the presence of poison ivy and ticks.

THE CAMINO MAP: You’ll be given this at check-in. It is the same map as shown on RaceRoster

WHAT NOT TO FOREGT: Water bottle (REQUIRED) A small container for snacks (REQUIRED)

Food sufficient for your needs. (Water for refilling your bottle and small snacks will be provided at each check point)

Cell phone (fully charged)

Sunscreen, bug repellent, bandaids for blisters, epipen, puffer, after bite, etc.

~VERY IMPORTANT~

REGISTRATION closes SEPTEMBER 10th, 2024. Registration after AUGUST 31st, 2024, will NOT have the option to purchase a Camino T-Shirt, so register EARLY!

START:

All under 18 years of age MUST be accompanied by a guardian

Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will hikers be allowed to start the longest hike distance after 8:30 am on Saturday or Sunday

All hikers must be at the finish on Saturday by 5 pm and Sunday by 4 pm

FINISH:

At the end of your hiking day (Saturday and/or Sunday), you must check out at the check out station. This is for safety reasons to assure that everyone is off the trail and accounted for. On your final day of hiking, when you check out you will receive your free souvenir Camino badge.

In the event of a life-threatening, medical emergency, always call 911 first, then call the Coordinator.
