Hi everyone! As most of you know, I’m currently a music therapy intern at McConnell Music Therapy Services, and I work mainly in the Pediatric Units and NICU in Sutter Sacramento. 

Music therapy in the pediatric medical setting mainly address positive / alternate engagement, developmentally appropriate stimuli, autonomy, and family support. Depending on the patient, we can address more goals including emotional support, motor skills, socialization; the list can go on.
