Our story…
The Child Life team at Sutter was there during EVERY hospital visit, and during those last two month-long stays, they helped more than we ever thought possible. There was music, movies, bedside visits, taking young sister out for art and play, service dog cuddles, Christmas presents when we didn’t have time to shop, visits from Mr and Mrs Clause on Christmas Day, comfort during difficult medical procedures, coordination of outdoor time, remembrance projects, and helping sister and cousins to understand Shelby was not going to survive her illness. There was so much more they did on a daily basis to make our experience more bearable, and we will forever be grateful to Sutter Child Life!
