Mesa Turkey Trot 5K - 10K

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Mesa Turkey Trot 10K, 5K & Fun Run. This is a great event in our community and we hope to give you a rewarding experience. To sign up for a shift please reach out to Alan Collier with Sertoma Club of Mesa at 480-510-5406

Parking for Volunteers:

Plan to park in the Red Mountain High School parking lot.

Note: The onsite parking lot closes before at 6:30 AM. If you arrive early and are able to park in the Red Mountain Park Parking lot, you will NOT be able to leave until the 10K race is finished, typically around 10:30 AM.

THURSDAY:

Here is a basic listing of tasks for Thanksgiving Day at the event:

  1. General Set-up

    • Need 10. Typically SERTOMA staff and those who show up early for other assignments

    • Check in time: 6:00 AM. Until at 11:00 AM

  2. Parking Lot Management and Street Crossing at Start Line

    • Need 10.

    • Check in time: 6:00 AM. Until at 9:15 AM

  3. T-Shirt Distribution. Will work behind/with the Registration Team & T-Shirt Exchange

    • Need 15.

    • Check in time: 6:30 AM. Until 9:15, with some until 11:00 AM

  4. Aid Stations

    • Need two (2) groups of 10.

    • Check in time: 7:00 AM. Leave to assignment approximately 7:15 AM.

    • Stay at post until approximately 10:30 AM

  5. Distribution of Fruit, Water, etc.

    • Need 15.

    • Check in time: 7:00 AM. Until 11:00 AM

  6. Clean up

    • Need 20.

    • Check in time: 8:00 AM. Until 11:30 AM
