The 1Day Relay is a 50-ish mile Relay Race from Bradenton, FL to Venice, FL.
Teams of 4-6 people will complete 11 segments that vary in distance between 3-7 miles.
There are 3 Divisions:
Mixed (at least 2 women on the team)
Women (all Women)
Men (all Men)
Team members will complete at least 1 but no more than 3 segments of the relay.
The Course Manual will be sent at least one month prior to race day. After reviewing the course and assigning team members to each segment, all teams will receive a seeded start time based on their anticipated time to complete the 50-ish miles. This will ensure that all teams finish within a 2 hr. window of time.
Teams will reunite at the each exchange point to switch runners. When the final runner arrives at the Venice Airport Fairgrounds, teams can join up and run across the Finish Line together!
All team members will receive a custom medal. Awards will be given to the fastest 3 teams in each division - as well as other Awards for Best Team Theme/Costumes and Best Team Transport (start thinking about how to decorate your van or SUV).
The 2024 1Day Relay is capped at 100 teams, so secure your team's spot now!
REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Select someone as the Captain. The Captain will register themself, create the Team name, create the Team code, and pay the registration fee.
2. All team members will then register by adding themself to the team, using the code. Team members will pay the Captain for their portion of the registration fee.
3. Decide your team's theme, costumes, transport decor, etc
4. Train, Train, Train!
5. When the Course Manual is sent out, decide who will run what segments and email your Team's Estimated Time to Finish to the Race Director.
6. Show up on March 16 ready to HAVE A BLAST and the 1Day Relay!
