Community Notice & Road Closures
The second annual Tree House Brewing Co. Half Marathon is set for Sunday, September 15, 2024. Participants will enjoy a scenic yet challenging course through historic Deerfield alongside the Connecticut River and Mount Sugarloaf before returning to the Brewery for an unforgettable celebration!
Below you can find important information regarding local road closures and traffic delays for race day. Residents can expect traffic impacts from 8:00am - 1:00pm. For additional questions or concerns, please contact community@dmsesports.com.

Road Closures

Mass Rt 10 – 8:00AM – 1:00PM
Runners will utilize the NB shoulder of Mass Rt 10. All NB and SB remains open. Expect delays and reduced speeds.
Conway St – 8:00AM – 12:45PM
CLOSED – Local Traffic Only. Expect delays from 8AM-8:45AM and 9:00AM-11:45AM.
North St – 8:00AM – 12:45PM
CLOSED – Local Traffic Only. Expect delays from 8AM-8:45AM and 9:00AM-11:45AM.
Pleasant St – 8:00AM – 12:45PM
CLOSED – For access to Frontier Regional or Deerfield Elementary please use Elm St to NB N Main St after 9:15AM. For access before 9:15AM we recommend arriving early before the roads close at 8:00AM.
N Main St from Pleasant St to Sugarloaf St – 8:00AM – 12:00PM
Runners will utilize the NB Lanes of N Main St from Pleasant St to Sugarloaf St until 9:15AM. SB N Main St remains open to Local Traffic. Once runners clear NB N Main St, NB traffic will reopen to Local Traffic Only or those who need access to Frontier Regional or Deerfield Elementary. Otherwise, N Main St from Pleasant St to Sugarloaf St remains closed until 12:00PM.
Sugarloaf St from Elm St to Sunderland Rd/Rt 116 – 8:00AM – 9:30AM
Runners will utilize the NB lane on Sugarloaf St until 9:30AM. SB Sugarloaf St will remain open. All NB traffic please detour using WB Sunderland Rd/Rt 116 to NB Rt 5.
Sunderland Rd/ Rt 116 from Sugarloaf St to River Rd – 8:00AM – 9:30AM
Runners will utilize the WB Lane of Sunderland Rd/Rt 116 until 9:30AM. EB and WB traffic will remain open via 1 way vehicle traffic taking turns reversing direction. Expect delays and plan ahead should you need to travel on Sunderland Rd during runner impact times.
River Rd from Sunderland Rd/Rt 116 to Hillside Rd – 8:00AM – 9:45AM
Runners will utilize NB River Rd. SB River Rd remains open to Local Traffic Only.
River Rd from Hillside Rd to Keith Cross Rd – 8:00AM – 11:30AM
CLOSED – Local Traffic Only. For those looking to travel SB on River Rd detour WB at Keith Cross Rd to NB Pine Nook Rd to Rt 10. Pine Nook Rd SB will remain closed until 11:30AM.
Hillside Rd from N Main St to River Rd – 8:00AM – 12:00PM
CLOSED – Local Traffic Only.
N Main St from Hillside Rd to Pleasant St – 8:00AM – 12:15PM
Runners will utilize the NB lane of N Main St from Hillside Rd to Pleasant St. SB N Main St remains open. SB N Main St traffic will be temporarily paused at Pleasant St for intermittent traffic control to cross runners through gaps in traffic on their way back towards Mass Rt 10/ Tree House Brewing
