Help us make a difference in childhood cancer care!
As a parent of a child diagnosed with bilateral Retinoblastoma (cancer of both eyes), I understand the impact it has on families. My son Mateo lost his right eye at 7 months old and has undergone many treatments, resulting in limited sight in his remaining eye. We have personally experienced the support of POGO (Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario) during our time at Sick Kids Hospital and Ronald McDonald House. Please help us reach our goal and support more families on their challenging journey. Mateo will be wearing his Captain America prosthetic eye for this inspiring event.
Many thanks,Captain America Team
Description
Hello!
Our team is lacing up in support of the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) to make a difference in childhood cancer care in our community and beyond.
POGO ensures that everyone affected by childhood cancer has access to the best care and support and we are fortunate to have a POGO Clinic at the Grand River Hospital.
You can make a team donation or an individual donation that will be reflected in the overall team goal.
On behalf of the children and youth currently in treatment or follow-up care, and the many survivors who face late effects as a result of their cancer, thank you for being our champion!
