The 2024 Elite Chocolate Turkey 3 Mile Run & 1 Mile Walk is a new Thanksgiving Day tradition funding the next chapter of Elite Community Outreach. Let’s team up with family and friends along the Riverfront on Thanksgiving morning to support Elite!
Run, walk, dance, or watch; all are welcome no matter how you participate. The Elite Chocolate Turkey is all about being together and giving thanks as a community while supporting our future. The Elite Holiday Choir will serenade us into the season and plenty of chocolate will reward us at the finish line, where participants can connect over hot cocoa and treats before heading home for holiday festivities.
Be sure to register soon to secure your signature 2024 Elite Chocolate Turkey shirt, 3.5oz chocolate turkey, and best of all – some chocolate goodies after the race! If you can’t join us Thanksgiving Day, you can still make an impact by donating directly to Elite via the DONATE button.

Parking
Parking is available at various lots along the Peoria Riverfront. Street parking is also available anywhere downtown. DO NOT park in the underground garage behind the Peoria Riverfront Museum.

Elite Community Outreach is a 501c3 based in Peoria, IL making a difference in schools, in jails, and on the streets by creating economic opportunity, offering second chances and real solutions. Through Elite, we teach that life is about choices and possibilities. It’s about teaching that today does not dictate your tomorrow. We also believe that a consequence early is better than a consequence late. Our programs keep troubled youth in school and off the streets and provide soft-skills job training to ex-felons re-entering the working world.
