“Jordan’s Run the Runway” run and walk event is inspired by Jordan Strickland and funds raised support YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth. Thanks to sponsors, donors and participants….. old and new friends, family, and others connected to us and each other through Jordan, who continue to make this event such a success over the last 11 years! Parking instructions for Race Day
Parking is available at no charge. However, we are not using the primary entrance to the airport (Seabrook Way).
If you are coming from Veteran’s Memorial Pkwy, go east on Oxford Street and turn north (left) onto Crumlin Sideroad (last street before you would enter the airport) , then turn right onto Blair Blvd, then right onto Avro Road, and right onto Seabrook Way. This will bring you along the side of the Airport's main parking lot and as you follow that around, the gate will be manned with a volunteer to check you in.
From Crumlin Side Road, continue north past Oxford street, then turn east (right) onto Blair Blvd, right onto Avro Road, and right onto Seabrook Way. This will bring you along the side of the Airport's main parking lot and as you follow that around the gate will be manned with a volunteer to check you in.
Please refer to the yellow lines on the map above (X marks the parking lot!). When exiting, you may use Seabrook Way.
Kindly avoid driving in front of the main terminal entrance at London International Airport.
Volunteers and signage will be in place to assist you. From the parking lot, it’s approximately a 5-minute walk to the entrance of the Fanshawe College Aviation Centre

This category is restricted to those who will be walking or urban poling the entire event. Running is not permitting in the race walk category. To qualify for prizing, you must be walking. If you will be doing a combination of running and walking please register for the running event. Must bring your own poles if you are using poles. Strollers are welcome.

Looking to do the 5 KM race on your own schedule and at your own location of choice? This is the event for you! Support a great cause while doing something great for your health. You can use any app to track your time such as RunKeeper, or if you prefer a more laid back approach just post your results on our results page or a selfie our FaceBook page when you are done - no time required! Instructions will be sent to all registered participants in September. Virtual Race is NOT eligible for finishing prizes.

About Jordan
Jordan Strickland inspires the 11th Annual “Jordan’s Run the Runway” run and walk event at Fanshawe College Norton Wolf School of Aviation and Aerospace Technology and the London International Airport. Thanks to all of you….. old and new friends, family, and others connected to us and each other through Jordan, who continue to made this event such a success! Together we have raised over $1,109,000 for YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth. Jordan would SO love this party!
Jordan loved new adventures, and he was not afraid to try anything. One of the things he loved most in life was going to the YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth on Beausoleil Island, where he attended many summers as a camper, and nine years as a volunteer counsellor.
CQE terrain is not what would be considered easy to traverse, and was a challenge to Jordan’s mobility, but he always managed to get anywhere he needed to with the support of the many amazing young men and women there. It is doubtful that he missed any opportunities and his enthusiasm was contagious! Rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, body surfing on the rapids, hiking, swimming, out tripping…. he looked forward to and was a part of all of it. Because of the Y’s and CQE's inclusive philosophy, Jordan and others who may have physical or other challenges have always been welcomed to share the same awesome camp experience as any other kid, with whatever support it takes to make that happen. Many, many children and future camp leaders who couldn’t typically afford to go are supported by the Strong Kids Campaign to attend CQE, and we want this to continue as part of Jordan’s story for many years to come. Jordan would be turning 37 this year, and we are so grateful for the many friends he met over the years, and who he introduced to us. Thank you so much for Running the Runway to remember our amazing Jordan, and also for his CQE and Siskinds families and friends.

Course Description
This is a flat and fast certified 5K, chip timed event. You can run, walk, roll or pole!
Course will begin and end on the Runway of the Fanshawe College Norton Wolf School of Aviation and Aerospace Technology.

The top three male and female finisher will receive their choice of a brand-new pair of running shoes from our official running partner, BackRoads Brews + Shoes. Additionally, the first-place finisher in each 5-year age category will receive a brand-new pair of Asics running shoes.
