Dunes 5k Road Run

NEW for 2024 the Dunes 5k Road Run in the Indiana Dunes State Park. We will be running on the roads within the park. The start will be at Tremont Shelter running to the Pavilion then back to the shelter.

IMPORTANT you will need to pay the entrance fee of $7 in-state resident or $12 out-of-state resident if there is a gate attendant present.

Participants receive a limited edition "Dunes" t-shirt worn famously by Hal Higdon. There are a limited number of these available once they are sold-out they are gone. If they sell out you will receive winter hat and gloves instead so sign up soon.

The proceeds will benefit Friends of the Indiana Dunes (FOID). FOID was able to provide funding for Trail 8 Boardwalk Project as well as the Beach Mat Project in the State Park. For information, please visit their website https://dunefriends.org

I will be selling my old Crazy Legs Race Series t-shirts and other items for $5 for the proceeds will go to Friends of the Indiana Dunes.

The purpose Crazy Legs Race Series (CLRS) is to promote non-pavement/pavement races in the Northwest Indiana region through the development and management of new and existing races. At all our events you will experience fun and challenging course design in a low-key atmosphere. Races will be held in parks or areas in the Lake, Porter and Laporte counties.

The Crazy Legs Race Series welcomes and encourages participation in our events by all individuals regardless of their sexual orientation, biological sex, gender identity, or gender expression. Transgender runners may register as the gender they identify with and there is no documentation needed.

The Crazy Legs Race Series would like to begin by acknowledging that the land on which we host our races is the seized territory of the Miami, Shawnee, and Illinois Nations. Refugees from other nations also resided in the area we use, including the Lenape (Delaware). We honor those who have stewarded this land throughout the generations.
