HOW IT WORKS
FAQ's
What is KidSport?
We are a non-profit organization that provides funding for kids from families that need financial support to help cover the cost of sport registration fees, so that all kids aged 18 and under can participate in a season of sport.
With 40 chapters across the province, funding for KidSport directly shapes sports participation in each of those communities. Each chapter - most of which are completely volunteer-run - raises funds, accepts applications, and distributes grants in its own community. In communities without a chapter, funding requests are supported through KidSport BC's Provincial Fund.

We believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joys of a season of sport. Abundant research exists that proves sport participation enhances academic performance, improves physical and mental health and develops valuable life skills in the areas of teamwork, socialization, goal setting and time management.
