Freedom Four

Start your July 4th holiday with a bang at the Freedom Four 4-Mile Run/Walk. A portion of the proceeds from this family-friendly event will go to the Friends of Glen Ellyn Parks’ Scholarship Fund, which allows families in need access to recreation and athletic programs for little to no cost. The race kicks off at 7:30 a.m. “sharp.” Awards will go to the top two male and female finishers in each age division immediately following the race.

Freedom Four t-shirts are guaranteed to those that register by the early bird deadline. Participants registering during regular registration or on the day of the race will receive a t-shirt while supplies last.

Early Bird R/NR Registration Fee (now to June 26): $27
Regular R/NR Registration Fee (June 27 to July 3): $32
Day of Race R/NR Registration Fee (July 4): $40

Packet Pick-up: Participants registered prior to July 2 can pick up their race packets at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center, 800 St. Charles Road, Glen Ellyn on Sunday, June 30 - Monday, July 1. Participants registered after July 2 can pick up their packets from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Thursday, July 4 at Lake Ellyn Park.

Day-of-Race Parking: Residents are encouraged to walk, bike or carpool to the Freedom Four 4-Mile Run/Walk, as there is no parking on Lenox or the roads surrounding Lake Ellyn Park. The commuter parking lots, including the Duane and Lorraine parking lot and the Civic Center parking garage, will remain open. Please click here to view the Village of Glen Ellyn’s interactive parking map and be sure to follow all posted signage. Limited parking will be available in the Glenbard West parking lot across from Duchon Field for Freedom Four 4-Mile Run/Walk participants. All cars must be removed from this lot by 10:00 a.m.
