The Cape Breton Fiddlers Marathon is located on the beautiful island of Cape Breton, along Sydney's waterfront. Known for its "Giant Fiddle", Sydney is full of vibrant, friendly runners who will welcome you with a smile. This flat, paved course runs along Sydney's downtown waterfront and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifying race. Runners will be joined by some of Cape Breton's talented musicians to provide encouragement along the way.
On October 19th, participants can take part in the Fiddlers Race Expo held at Victoria Park from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Race kits can also be picked up at Victoria Park between 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Online registration will be closed on October 16th at midnight.
Registration is also available during the expo between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Note: registrations cannot be deferred and are non-refundable.
The race will be professionally timed by Atlantic Chip Sport Timing.
Non-service dogs are prohibited from participating in the race.
The Full and 5k are part of the Run Nova Scotia Road Race Series.
The Half is part of the Run Nova Scotia Performance Series.
The time limit for the marathon is six hours. No race support will be provided after 2:00 p.m.
Start Times on October 20th, 2024:
- Marathon start time: 8:00 a.m.
- Half marathon start time: 8:20 a.m.
- 10k start time: 8:45 a.m.
- 5k start time: 9:00 a.m.
