My Story…
I had my SCAD in 2017 while on a plane back from Australia. I didn’t believe it. Then I had another heart attack two days later. The angiogram showed the tear in my LAD. During the angiogram, my LAD completely dissected. The heart team at Memorial Hermann refused to let me die. Despite a summer of surgeries and interventions, my heart could not be saved. 57 days after I had my first SCAD heart attack, I had a heart transplant. I have been blessed with almost 7 years with my new heart - MJ.
