Additional Event Info
Four distances: 3, 6, 12 and 14 mile races. The 14-mile is a relay. The shorter distances can have craft manned by 1, 2, 4 or 5 paddlers in eight categories: Open, Women, Mixed, Masters, Senior, Veteran, Junior, Junior/Adult. There are multiple types of canoes and kayaks that can be used, as well as stand-up paddleboards. For canoes there are Racing C-1, Recreational C-1, Racing C-2, Recreational C-2, C-4, Recreational C-5 and Outriggers. For kayaks there are Olympic K-1, Unlimited K-1, Touring K-1, Touring K-2, Sea Kayak K-1, Recreational K-1, and Recreational K-2. The 14-Mile relay race has different categories then the shorter three. Those are Corporate, Government, Open, Women, Mixed and University. Boat types are Recreational C-2, K-1, K-2, Sea Kayak or Paddleboard.
