Race Day - Saturday, July 27
Race Location – Earl Rowe Provincial Park in Alliston- click for address
Bib Pickup - available at race site beginning at 7:15am and continues until 8:55am
Race day timeline – 4 & 5 Loops at 8:00am, 1 & 2 Loops at 9:00am
Parking - Your race fee covers entry into the Park for one vehicle. Additional spectators coming in separate vehicles will be charged to enter. Park Gate attendant will be asking to see proof of race entry so please have this email (show Green P) or your race confirmation email ready on your phone or printed copy. Follow ‘race parking’ signs to the designated areas which are located close to the start/finish line.
Course will be marked with orange flags and arrows. There are 3 road crossings on course, BE CAREFUL!
Shelter - multi-loopers may set up a shelter, no larger than 10' x 10' at the start/finish to access between loops. We will have space under our tent if you want to leave any supplies as well.
In ear headphones are STRONGLY discouraged. You must be aware of your surroundings at all times to allow for safe passing by other runners and park users. The Park is open to visitors who may also be using the trail on foot or on bike.
Merch - We will be selling swag such as Rainbow socks, shoe bags, hats etc., throughout the day - cash or credit only.
Cup-Less – As we are doing our part for the environment, all of our events are now cup-less. Thank you to our partner HyrdoPak, we are able to provide each runner with a 200ml Speed Cup that you can use at the aid stations.
Aid Stations - There will be water and Skratch electrolytes at the start line and at the aid station on course which is at approximately halfway. Both aid stations will have salty, sweet and fruit based snacks to keep those multi-loopers going!
BBQ – begins around 10:30 and continues throughout day
Awards – top 3 finishers (male/female) overall in each distance will be presented with a prize. Your bib is chip timed; awards are based on overall finish time. Awards will be presented once we have finishers in each distance.
Please say thanks to our awesome volunteers when you see them because without them, there is no race!
See you on race day,
Jodi & Norman

THE COURSE
Our race is named after the trail we are using at Earl Rowe, called "Rainbow Run," which is named for the rainbow trout migration that occurs each Spring. But also, who doesn't love rainbows?
It's mostly double wide, some grass, some dirt and a tiny bit of pavement (when crossing over park roads) and bridge crossings over Earl Rowe Lake. It's a relatively flat course with one short climb up to the Lookout (photo opp for sure!). Awesome course for those new to trail running!
Your race fee covers entry into the Park for one vehicle so are able to bring family/friends along. Additional spectators coming in separate vehicles will be charged $15.50 per vehicle to enter.
1 loop is approximately 12K.
2 loops = 24K
4 loops = 48K
5 loops = 60K
8 loops = 96K
The Park features many facilities that you can enjoy post-race such as swimming, canoeing and camping.
(all distances are approximate - GPS measurements will vary from individual to individual)
AID STATIONS * CUP-FREE * DROP BAGS * CUTOFF
AID STATIONS
We will have 2 aid stations on course - one at the Start/Finish line and one approximately half way through the 12K loop. Aid Stations will feature water, electrolytes, fruit, sweets and salty snacks. Should you have a dietary restriction or a favourite drink/snack, please feel free to supply your own. Once your race is completed you can visit the aid station at the Finish for additional snacks.
WE ARE A CUP-FREE EVENT!
This is a CUP-FREE event! Thanks to our partner, Hydrapak, each runner will receive a FREE SpeedCup at race kit pickup, designed to be used during and after the race. All participants will also receive a discount code that can be used to purchase other Hydrapak products via email.
DROP BAGS
The Start/Finish area will have ample space to allow for runners to leave a drop bag (at your own risk) that you can access after your first or later loops. We will set up a 10 x 10 tent specifically for this purpose close to the loop exit point. You are welcome to bring a shelter (no larger than 10' x 10' please) and we will direct you where to set it up.
CUTOFF
The cutoff time for the 8 Loop is 24 hours.
8 Loops - minimum number of runners required
* 8 Loop minimum not met for 2024 *
The cutoff for the 8 Loop is 24 hours, we think this is a generous amount of time for this distance and of course, we want you to be successful! We do require a minimum of 15 runners for this distance so why not convince a buddy to join you? No need to suffer alone when you can suffer with a friend! If the minimum is not met, you are entitled to a full refund or you can switch distances and get a race credit for the difference paid.
If the minimum number is not met by June 15, we will contact those registered to ask for their decision (refund or switch to other distance).
SWAG & AWARDS
SWAG
Each finisher will receive our custom rainbow spinner medal!
This year's swag item will be a technical t-shirt featuring our new logo, see below.
You also have the option of ordering a hoodie with your registration. We won't be ordering too many extras so if you want one, best to add it to your registration. If you have already registered, drop Jodi a line at gottarunracing@gmail.com
T-shirt size guarantee cut-off is June 21 so don't be disappointed, sign up today!
AWARDS
Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers male/female in solo events will be acknowledged atop our podium with a special treat!
