Our Journey To Support Vaughan's First Hospital
2003 to date
The Run for Vaughan is an exciting event in support of the development of the City of Vaughan’s first hospital and healthcare facility.
The City of Vaughan is a vibrant place to live and work and the rapid growth of our community reflects that fact. The annual Run for Vaughan will make important contributions to our community by raising money to support key initiatives that will benefit our City and its citizens. This year, net proceeds of Run for Vaughan will again go to support the Cortelluci Vaughan Hospital. The Run for Vaughan is an event that was created and organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMJ Canada) for the sole purpose of providing a grassroots program to raise funds for the hospital. The Run brings out serious and casual runners and walkers from all across Vaughan, the GTA and other parts of the province. Participants come with their families and enjoy the festivities of the day.
The Run for Vaughan was first held in 2003 and has become an annual event. The event was originally held at the Baitul Islam Mosque property in Maple.
The Run for Vaughan has raised over $1.5M to date.

Event Details
This year, Run for Vaughan will be held in person at Baitul Islam Mosque on September 29, 2024, 9:00 Am.
3K Run
Come in groups, sprint alone, or make it a family goal. Especially suited for first-time runners that aim to make a difference with their 3K endeavour. We will support you all along the way and build your confidence for the 5K run for next year.
In-person - 1K Fun Walk
We welcome everyone to join in and walk to support the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. Mom, dad, kids, grandma, grandpa, uncle, aunt, cousins, anyone and everyone. Let’s walk together from Baitul Islam Mosque for our hospital!
