Blue Sky Citizens Challenge Closed
It’s you versus the clock. Or just an opportunity to climb to the top of a 14er on closed roads with spectacular views. Unlike the race, this event will be a mass start, and your time will not begin until you cross the timing mat. Results will be broken into 10-year increments (male and female). Because this is for fun, there are no awards - just the reward of doing something extraordinary. All riders in the Citizens’ Challenge will receive a jersey.

Bob Cook Memorial Mt. Blue Sky State Championship Hill Climb Closed
This event is USA Cycling sanctioned and requires an annual USA Cycling license or a one-day license ($15 purchased with USA Cycling). Same course, same distance as the Citizen Challenge, but it is officially a RACE. You will have a set start time with people in your same category, and your results will be reported to USA Cycling. . Your age is the age you will be on Dec 31, 2024.
Blue Sky USAC Race does NOT include a jersey but has the option to add it on at a discounted price.

Rocky Mountain Grand Slam
Fancy yourself a climber? We have a treat for you. Join us for the Triple Bypass on July 13, rest up for a week, and then conquer the highest paved road in North America to 14,130’ at the Blue Sky (formerly Mt. Evans) Hill Climb Gran Fondo on July 20. Both events combined cover over 17,500 feet of climbing.
For taking the challenge, we are giving Grand Slam participants a marvelous, eye-catching jersey. You only get it if you do it.
How to be part of the Slam:
- Choose Grand Slam during Triple registration
- A code will be sent to you to enter the Blue Sky Hill Climb (at no cost)
- Pick up your Grand Slam and Blue Sky Hill Climb jersey at packet pick up for the Hill Climb
- Wear it like you earned it. You did.
