Claire was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect, Tetralogy of Fallot, on an anatomy scan before birth.  In addition to this Claire was born prematurely, spending 8 weeks in the NICU and needing a feeding tube to come home so she could gain appropriate weight for surgery.  She required surgery when she was 5 months old to repair this defect and will need an additional surgery when she is hopefully in her late teens to provide an additional repair.  The Heartest yard was a support system provided to us initially upon bringing Claire home from the hospital with in home nursing care.  Join us in helping support a great cause that provides tangible support to families right here in Charlotte who have a child with CHD.
