Help Sarah raise money

The picture to the right is of Shokria and me, along with my daughter and niece, at an amusement park over Spring Break.  Look at those three beautiful young women with the light of joy and adventure on their faces.  Shokria loved every roller coaster - the bigger the better!   Did you know that in Afghanistan, young women are not allowed to climb the country's many mountains, laugh and scream with their friends, or even fly kites?   Here we are in the year 2024, and the women of Afghanistan live again under a relentless and violent gender apartheid.   Ascend is active on the ground in Kabul, working directly with Afghan women and girls to provide social-emotional resources. Please help Ascend continue to be a light in this vast darkness.
