Bike The Gem 24

Flossmoor’s Future is hosting a third annual community bike ride on June 1, 2024, along parts of the Hidden Gem Half Marathon course. Flossmoor residents registered half marathon runners, and the just plain curious are invited to “Bike the Gem.”.

This is not a race but rather a community bike ride.

Flossmoor Police and Fire will provide an escort and traffic control. Check-in for the ride at the Infant Jesus of Prague School north parking lot - Douglas Avenue and Flossmoor Road, in Flossmoor. Ride sign-in starts at 10:00 am.

ALL RIDERS MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE.

This year's ride will feature:

Half of The Half Ride (recommended for healthy riders ages 9+)- This will be a relatively fast-paced ride of near 8 miles over the second half of the Hidden Gem Half Marathon course.

Registration and check-in for this ride will open at 10:00 am- The ride departs at 11:00 a.m.

This year's community ride will finish in Downtown Flossmoor and be followed by a party on the deck of Flossmoor Station Brewery and the annual introduction of the Hidden Gem beer.

All riders must register in advance, wear a helmet, and sign a waiver. No unaccompanied minors will be allowed to ride without a guardian.
