MOVE4MOM 2024
Join us in honour of Moms everywhere and help raise funds for the McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Centre and the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation.
The Event:
The main event will take place on Saturday May 11, 2024 in the beautiful Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park. This event can be participated in virtually or in person. We will have a 5km, 10km and 21km loop in Kalamalka Provincial Park with trail markings and aid stations available from 8:00am - 3:00pm. You can show up anytime between those times to complete your distance. Sign in and collect your event package at the registration tent and get out on the trails! Lace up your running shoes and see the power of a movement!
All proceeds supporting The McMurtry - Baerg Cancer Centre and The Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation.
STEP 1:
Decide whether you want to participate as an individual or create a team. Either option can participate virtually or at the live event in Kalamalka Park.
STEP 2:
Register for the category and goal distance you have decided to run/ walk. Keep in mind, you can decide to run more than your goal on the day. This is your chance to set a goal for you or your team.
STEP 3:
Make a donation to The McMurtry - Baerg Cancer Centre and The Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation directly from your registration page.
Optional:
You can create a fundraising page to advertise your participation in Move4Mom. You can do this from your dashboard.
STEP 4:
Opt in if you wish to get a MOVE4MOM T-Shirt and if yes, select your size preference.
Please note: Quantities are limited for size exchanges.
STEP 5:
Challenge others to donate, sign up, support or share Move4Mom! Share your progress and fundraising goals on social media.
Share your progress on social media and use the hashtag #themovementrun to show your support and follow along!
STEP 6:
While training and on race day, use Strava to track and log your runs by joining The Movement Running Club! (https://www.strava.com/clubs/829417?oq=the)
