Run for Rubi

This year's beneficiary is Rubi Melendez. She recently turned 5 years old and had to spend her birthday in the hospital where she was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. Her family was given the recent news that Rubi has a 12.6 cm mass over her airway, lungs, heart, a spot on her kidney, and two blood clots in her neck. Rubi has been admitted to Stanford Children’s Lucile Packard where doctors have started hooking her up to machines to help her breath more comfortably. They performed an echocardiogram to see the functioning of her heart and inserted a chest tube to drain fluid that was building up in one of her lungs. She will undergo chemotherapy treatment for the next 2 and 1/2 years. Our goal is to assist beautiful, young Rubi with any financial assistance.
