According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, adults who achieve at least 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity aerobic activity can lower their risk for diseases such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancers. These risks continue to decrease with more physical activity. Even an even better reason to promote health literacy by signing up for the Friends of the JKPL 5K Fun Run/Walk!
