Urban Trail Racing is kicking off the spring season in this beautiful protected wilderness area. We kick off from Maskwa Aquatics Club parking lot and head into this amazing wilderness area. Lots of single track, beautiful lakes, and a chance to find your way in this protected wilderness. This year lands on May 4th so Star Wars gear is encouraged.
Race Details:
- We are upping our leave no trace approach by asking all participants to bring drinking containers with them for the aid stations.
- Onsite medical support will be provided by Halifax Search & Rescue Medical teams.
- Trail stewards from Friends of Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lakes will be volunteering to help with directions.
- Our friends from Decathlon will be providing shirts for all runners and volunteers PLUS lots of swag at our post race social!
- Good Robot will be hosting us in their MouseTrap speakeasy within their space at 2736 Robie Street. In addition to some prizes they will also have a special deal on their new Ultra brew!
- Funds raised beyond costs will be donated to Halifax Search & Rescue and Friends of Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lakes
- GPX route will be uploaded on our site.
As with all of our races we will be supporting Halifax Search & Rescue and the local Friends of Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lakes through donations.

Wild Lakes 10 K Closed
10 Km loop from Maskwa Aquatics Club through the Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lakes Protected Wilderness Area. This route will take you past 5 lakes and through some outstanding single track trails. This is definitely a route to remember in an amazing oasis within Halifax.
