15th Hike for Hospice

Let’s get moving! Help honour residents of Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice!

Join us on Sunday June 2nd, 2024, at Riverbluffs Park when friends and families come together to honour their loved ones. You’ll celebrate the lives of so many while you help raise funds essential to the daily operation of Lisaard and Innisfree Hospice.

You can register as an individual, family or larger team. Set a fundraising goal and help us reach $125,000! Here are just a few ideas to get you started:

• If you raise $5,000, you’ll provide care for all our residents for two days
• $2,500 provides care for all our residents for a day
• $1,000 provides much needed food
• $500 provides bereavement care
• $250 provides bed linens
• Every gift counts!

100% of donations from Hike for Hospice goes to supporting our residents and their families.

Once you’ve set a goal, you can set up your own fundraising page to tell family, friends, colleagues and neighbours why you support Lisaard & Innisfree. Let people know what your goal is and what you hope to achieve as a team!

On the day of the event, you and your team can walk or run the 2.5km or 5km routes on the beautiful and expansive grounds of the rare Charitable Research Reserve. This is a family- and pet-friendly event, so please take on only what is comfortable and safe for you to achieve. If you’re unable to walk on nature paths, we still want to see you. We value all our participants!

If you’re unable to join us on June 2, don’t let that stop you! You can still raise funds and get moving in your backyard, on your local trails, or even at the beach. We've had teams complete their hike from places like British Columbia, Manitoulin Island, and Australia!

Don’t forget to share your Hike through photos on social media using the hashtag #LIH_HikeForHospice; you’ll help raise awareness about hospice palliative care in our community, and how important it is for our neighbours living with a life-limiting illness. We’ll be sharing your pictures on Instagram and Facebook throughout the day.

Your registration fee includes your Hike for Hospice T-shirt & lunch! Don’t forget to share your Hike through photos on social media using the hashtag #LIH_HikeForHospice. We’ll be sharing your pictures on Instagram and Facebook, and sharing our own posts as we go. Be sure to watch our socials, email communications and our website, for challenges, updates and prizes!
