My Story…
I said goodbye to my sister, Sarah, on May 26. She fought so hard against ovarian cancer - every single day for three years and three months - until she could fight no more.
I am heartbroken. Fortunately, my sister, Mary, and I were with her in the hospital when she died. After so much pain, her final hours were peaceful and pain free.
One of Sarah’s passion projects after her diagnosis was to help other women facing this brutal disease through her work with Jodi’s Race, benefitting the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance - COCA
Sarah was so motivated to stay alive to attend Jodi’s Race this year - for her fourth year - and to raise as much money as possible to spread the word about this brutal disease and to benefit women who need help after diagnosis.
Sadly, Sarah passed two weeks before this year’s race. Now both Mary and I are continuing to raise funds to honor our dear sister and her legacy with Jodi’s Race.
I’m asking for your participation by donating to this wonderful non-profit that helps so many Colorado women going through a similar story to Sarah’s. Thank you for any amount you can give.
Sincerely and Honoring Sarah,
Kerry Manion
