Please read before registering:
Please note that the Canada Line, Vancouver's rapid-transit line, is the most convenient way to get to the Start Line from Downtown Vancouver. If you plan to stay downtown during race weekend, take the Canada Line, which opens at 4:48am daily from Waterfront Station and travels between Downtown Vancouver and near the Start Line with stops at King Edward Station for the Half Marathon and Oakridge/41st Station for the Marathon.
You may pick up a single use, Compass ticket courtesy of the Vancouver International Marathon Society at the Health, Sports & Lifestyle Expo from Friday, May 3 to Saturday, May 4.
Please refer to TransLink website at translink.ca to find more info on bus and skytrain schedules.
Shuttle Service:
To accommodate popular demand, the Vancouver International Marathon Society, in partnership with TransLink, is also offering an optional shuttle service on Race Day for participants staying or living in areas without access to early morning transit services.
This offer applies to participants staying in the East-West corridor and in North/West Vancouver only. Shuttles are available from Surrey, South Burnaby, North Burnaby, Coquitlam and North Vancouver.
Space is limited, and is booked on a first-come first-serve basis.
Shuttle service is one way to help participants get to the Start Line. Please look at the shuttle bus bays here. Return transportation is not provided.
There is a $5 fee for the shuttle service to cover operational costs as the service is paid for by the Vancouver International Marathon Society.
You are eligible to take advantage of the service if you are:
An in-person Half Marathon or in-person Marathon registered participant (this includes in-person Dynasty and in-person Run Happy Triple) and staying in areas without early transit access.
Shuttle service is not available for 8KM runners who have a free shuttle and gear check drop off at Burrard & Pender to the 8KM Start Line.
Please arrive early as the TransLink shuttle buses will depart on-time. We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes early to park, walk to the bus bay, and board the TransLink shuttle bus. Look for the BMO Vancouver Marathon signage in the bus front window. Buses provide both seating and standing room. Capacity is limited to 120 riders per bus with 47 seats available and the remaining space, standing room only.
Shuttle Captains will be onsite to verify Shuttle registration and priority is given to runners who have completed the online Shuttle sign-up form.
On race day, your bib will be your ticket for the shuttle. Please book early!
SHUTTLE SERVICE REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE ONLINE UNTIL TUESDAY, APRIL 30 2024, 8:30PM PST, SPACE PERMITTING.
SIGN-UP MAY ALSO BE AVAILABLE AT THE EXPO May 3 & 4, 2024, IF SPACE PERMITS.
