Are you ready to roll down the Rainbow Road? Join Get REAL in our fundraising adventure on a race to the top. Every school year, our Get REAL University Chapters and volunteers run 50/50 fundraisers, raising 50% of funds for local 2SLGBTQ+ focused charities and initiatives.

Once again, we have all joined forces to raise funds for the Rainbow Railroad, a Canadian charitable organization that helps lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals escape violence and persecution in their home countries, so that your donations will create a maximum amount of impact for queer folks globally.

Using Race Roster, you can create a team or join one, and then simply invite friends, family, and colleagues to donate on your behalf. That’s right! Our top fundraiser spot, and fundraising team, will not be resting on just your personal donations. We understand that we all have different amounts to give. With this platform, you can encourage your peers to show their support for this amazing cause! Final donations can be accepted until noon on June 28th, 2024 to be considered for prizes. Plus, it is all done virtually, so there is no limit to how far we can reach.

On Friday, June 28th, 2024 we encourage you to go out and ride on anything that has wheels: bikes, skate boards, scooters, or roller blades/skates*. You could even push a stroller! Get creative and keep it accessible to you! You can connect with other participants (around the world!) by sharing a photo of yourself with the hashtag #GetREAL5K #RainbowRoad5K and great posts may be shared by Get REAL on social media.

You are more than welcome to have completed your 5K before this day!

At 2:00 PM EST on June 28th, the organizing team invites you to attend our Closing Ceremony, broadcasted on Instagram Live, where we will announce the winners, as well as the total amount fundraised! Our goal is to raise $5000. The amazing prizes for the top fundraisers and top teams will be announced shortly. Stay tuned!

*Riding is not a requirement to participate in this event. We just want you to be safe and have fun! So Ride, Run, walk, stroll, roll, swim, paddle... anything to get you outside and moving safely.
