Deer Creek Trail Runs

We love trail running! 2024 marks our 20th year of organizing trail runs and our goal is to continue to build and grow the trail running community in Ohio! To celebrate all distances are only $20 until October 1!

Your entry fee includes electronic chip timing via MyLaps, commemorative finishers medal, award eligibility for top finishers, and post-event spread. Shirts are an optional purchase.

The inaugural Deer Creek Trail Runs consist of 5 mile, 9 mile, and 18 mile trail runs taking place at Deer Creek State Park on Saturday, October 12. The scenic trail course along the Deer Creek Reservoir features everything for the trail enthusiast - single track trails, rolling course, dry and wet stream bed crossings, and shaded wooded course.

Event Description

The single-track course length is approximately 9 mile loop and the 5 mile loop is combination of single track and bridle trail. The 18 mile runners will complete the 9 mile course twice for 18 miles. Each of the 9 mile segments would be timed.

The course consist of 98% natural trail and includes some great views of the Deer Creek Reservoir.

Re-Fueling Stations and Restrooms

There will be at least 1 re-fueling station on the course containing water, Gatorade, Base Bars, and other light snacks. Vegan options will be available. There will be basic 1st aid kits, hygiene and feminine products available for your small cuts and scrapes needs. All participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration.

Restrooms will be located at the Start/Finish, 2.4 miles (Campground area), and at another key point on the trail.

Event Shirt

Event shirts are an optional purchase item during registration. Shirts are great fitting soft Tri-Blend custom event shirt.

Awards & Finisher Medal

All finishers will receive a commemorative finishers medal.

The Top 3 OVERALL male and female finisher for each distance will receive an award to commemorate their finish.

Parking

There is ample parking at the Lodge Parking area. Please park in designated area in parking lot. Do not park in the grass or along the road.
