2024 Elmhurst Aruna Run

Date: September 28, 2024

Location: Wild Meadows Trace, 511 S. York St., Elmhurst, IL 60126. The starting line is at the intersection of York St. and the Prairie Path.

Event: 5K

Start Times:

• 7:00 AM CDT - Packet pick-up and walk up registration open
• 8:00 AM CDT - 5K starts

Registration Fees: 100% of fee goes to free, employ, and empower women

• June 28th - August 22nd - $35
• August 23rd - September 22nd - $40
• September 23rd-28th (Walk-up registration available morning of the run) - $45

• ***Register by September 8h to guarantee t-shirt and size.

Packet Pick-Up Options:

• September 26th from 5-7 p.m. at Brewpoint Craft 617 N York St, Elmhurst, IL
• September 28th at the race: Opens at 7:00 AM CDT @ Wild Meadows Trace (511 S. York St., Elmhurst, IL 60126)

Awards: The Aruna Sport Duffle, hand-made by Aruna Artisans, will be awarded to the top female finisher, top male finisher, and top fundraiser along with a $50 gift card to the Aruna Shop.

Team Building & Fundraising Prizes: Amplify your impact! Aruna gift cards earned for building a team and/or fundraising for her freedom will be emailed the week following the run.

Race Map

This year's Aruna Run swag features a packable backpack -- made in freedom by Aruna Artisans -- and a District Short Sleeve Shirt. Register by September 8th to guarantee your shirt and desired size.

Aruna is an international human rights non-profit dedicated to creating lifelong freedom for survivors of human trafficking. The Aruna Run Race Series is the catalyst of the freedom process with 100% of registration fees and additional donations going to help free trafficked women. So grab some friends, lace up your shoes, and let's run together for her freedom!

Build Your Team
Registering as a team captain and building a team is one of the most powerful ways you can support the cause as 100% of registration fees go to free, employ, and empower trafficked women. For every TEN people who join your team, you'll receive a $25 Aruna gift card! Gift cards will be emailed the week after the run and can be redeemed online at www.arunaproject.com.

Fundraise Together
You can take your team's impact to the next level by committing to individual fundraising goals. Individual fundraising pages are automatically created for you when you register for the run in Race Roster. You can then share donation links with family and friends via social media, e-mail, and text message.

For every $250 you individually raise, you will earn a $25 Aruna gift card! Gift cards will be emailed the week after the run and can be redeemed online at www.arunaproject.com.

Are walkers welcome?
Of course! Whether walking or running, we are all out there for the same goal -- to raise funds to help bring freedom to the sexually enslaved.

Are dogs welcome?
They are!

Can I push a stroller?
Yes! You are welcome to push a stroller in the race. We just ask that you start towards the back to ensure the safety of all participants. A child being pushed in a stroller does not need to be registered for the race.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Nope! As long you can cover the distance, we welcome all ages to participate.
