UF Health Jacksonville's 10th Annual Tony's Turkey Trot 5K for Brain Injury Awareness presented by Stellar Foundation will take place on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024 in Atlantic Beach, FL. By participating in Tony’s Turkey Trot 5K, you advance lifesaving care during the early critical stages of the injury and support the holistic care of traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivors in our community.
RACE PACKET PICK-UP
Race Packet Pick-Up sponsored by Johnson's Custom Cabinetry will be available on the following days/locations:
Tuesday and Wednesday, November 26th and 27th - One Ocean Resort & Spa, 1 Ocean Blvd. Atlantic Beach
Parking will be available in the Seahorse Oceanfront Inn parking lot.
Tuesday November 26th- 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM
Wednesday November 27th- 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM
Race day pick-up - One Ocean Resort and Spa, Atlantic Beach
6 AM until 8 AM - In the Solaria Room
AWARDS
All Participants will receive a finisher medals sponsored by Coker Law. The awards ceremony will take place after the 1-Mile Fun Run and walk starts.

PROCEEDS FOR TONY'S TURKEY TROT
Proceeds from Tony's Turkey Trot are an investment in vital, lifesaving work at UF Health Jacksonville, in our community and across the region. Funds raised through the 2023 Tony's Turkey Trot have supported and/or will support:
27 patients in the the UF Health Jacksonville Leon L. Haley Jr., M.D., Brain Wellness Program through one calendar year for housing and transportation
44 patients in the UF Health Jacksonville Leon L. Haley Jr., M.D., Brain Wellness Program for the Equine Program. The equine program, facilitated by Jacksonville Equestrian Center: H.O.R.S.E Therapies, offers half-day programming on Saturdays during the IOP sessions. Participants engage in interactions with horses, which have been shown to provide a range of benefits, including improved balance, coordination, and strength, as well as enhanced self-confidence, communication skills, and emotional regulation.
Help to provide education around TBI’s and brain injuries through the UF Health Jacksonville Trauma Prevention Education Program
The purchase of two Video Laryngoscopes. Often trauma patients, particularly TBI patients require intubation (breathing tubes) to support them.
10 members at the Brooks Rehabilitation Brain Injury Clubhouse for one month
