We kicked off National Trail Day this year with a virtual challenge to help keep you motivated leading up to the October 5th AZT in a Day event. The virtual challenge started on June 1st and you can still participate. If you kept a log starting on June 1st you can use that mileage to help achieve any distance. We offer a tracking system where you can upload all mileage completed to help keep track of your progress.

AZT in a Day is a coordinated effort to complete the entire 800-mile Arizona National Scenic Trail in 24 hours.

How does the virtual challenge work?
Whether you complete the adventure by crawling, walking, running (treadmills count), swimming, hiking, or by bike. JUST GET IT DONE! You may combine them all to achieve the distance.
All we ask from you is to save a few miles for the Arizona Trail. Sign up for any virtual distance and save a mile or more for the AZT in a Day event on October 5th. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the Adventure!
(Note: All events 100 miles and under should be completed by October 5th, 2024 any event 200 miles plus should be completed before June 1, 2025, with ALL SWAG Items delivered after AZT in a Day )
We have a distance for every level and Custom SWAG to reward your efforts. 25 Miles and under (That's right do only ONE mile and get SWAG), 50-Miles, 100-Miles, 200-Miles, 400-Miles, and the ultimate challenge 800-Miles to virtually complete the journey from Mexico to Utah. Participate from Anyplace USA (we do encourage the trails of course). Every milestone achievement has custom swag to represent the distance to show off.

All levels of achievement are cumulative to help keep you motivated!
For example: if you sign up for the 200-mile adventure you not only will receive the 200-mile custom award/swag, but will also receive the 25-mile, 50-mile, and 100-mile Awards / SWAG!!
If you can not make the AZT in a Day event in person support the ATA by participating in the virtual challenge.
The Arizona Trail Virtual Adventure is raising funds to benefit the Arizona Trail Association, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. The ATA's mission is to protect, maintain, enhance, promote, and sustain the Arizona Trail as a unique encounter with the land.
