ALL Riders Must Be Ready to Start at 7 AM.
Join us for a scenic, fun, charity ride through beautiful Grays Harbor County. You’ll ride through forests, farmlands, over rivers and hills and finish by the spectacular Pacific Ocean. The ride starts in McCleary and finishes in either Westport, Elma or Montesano (depending on your chosen distance).
Our mission for this event is to provide Grays Harbor County an opportunity to get active in a safe and supportive way. This one-day cycling event is the perfect ride with a team or as a personal challenge and is open to ages 16 and up, with three separate lengths for beginners to pros. This is NOT a timed event, so we encourage you to challenge yourself to a distance that makes sense for you and demonstrates your commitment to helping build the healthiest community in the Nation, right here in Grays Harbor.
This year we DO NOT have fundraising requirements for individuals, however money raised from fundraising efforts and registration fees go towards supporting Summit Pacific Medical Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit. This year, the Summit Pacific Medical Foundation aims to raise funds through sponsorship and donations to be used to improve rural healthcare in Grays Harbor Public Hospital District #1. All proceeds benefit Summit Pacific the Medical Center and our healthcare clinics through the purchase of equipment, facility upgrades and funding for staff and patient education programs.
Please review the team section below for information about creating teams and team discounts.

Will there be transportation available for riders?
Shuttles will be available on a limited basis for riders. Shuttle tickets are $10 and each cyclist will need their own ticket. Ticket fees go towards vehicle rental and fuel expenses. Purchase tickets in the PRODUCTS section of registration.
If you are not sure what time you will finish your ride, we recommend securing a mode of transportation that will be available at your finish destination after you complete your route.
Yes. Local laws may restrict certain e-bike use on sidewalks, for example Class 3 will not be allowed on the final section of the Westport Light Trail. As the Ride the Harbor route mostly follows city streets and county highways, you may use Class 1 or Class 2 e-bikes.
Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to coordinate and streamline this aspect of the ride. Additionally, all e-riders must be self sufficient, and are responsible for charging their bikes and carrying the tools they need.
We will have volunteer support crews (SAG vehicles) throughout the ride, however, we do not require that they be well versed in e-bikes. We cannot guarantee that they will be able to fix mechanical problems on e-bikes. Additionally, our support vehicles may not have bike racks that can carry the additional weight of an e-bike.
Having organized athletic events for a few years, we have found that regardless of rain on the day, invariably things work out well to the benefit of the athletes. Unless we have unsafe conditions like the air quality issues we had late last August, due to unprecedented wildfires last year, the ride will go on. Our volunteers still come out and staff all the necessary rest stops, our SAG drivers are committed to helping in whatever way they can, and the rides still depart at their appointed times.
Rest assured, regardless of the forecast, the Tour de Wellness will go forward and we urge you to come and enjoy the day with us. If riding in the rain is simply not your thing but you have raised funds, please come down and drop off any remaining donations, pick up your ride tee shirt and other earned incentives, and please still avail yourself of the ample options of food and drink that we will have available around noontime.
Most often, those who choose to soldier on find that riding in the face of adversity provides them with a more fulfilling experience and certainly epic stories to tell.
Depending on your chosen route/distance, there will be different activities available to you. Once you have completed your ride and stopped in at your finish line’s check-out, please plan on hanging around the venue to pick up some refreshments.
Our Westport Finish Line Pavilion will be located at the Viewing Tower Park near the jetty. You will find a variety of food options from local businesses, a selection of beverages and electrolyte drinks in addition to water. We invite Elma Finishers to stop by the the Westport Pavilion after they have checked-out at their finish line, listen to some music and visit our vendor booths.
We recommend riding with a team! Riding with a group can help motivate you to get out, log more miles, build friendships and can also help you be seen by drivers. Learning from the more experienced riders can help you build confidence, learn about proper gear, and can push you to become a stronger rider overall, not to mention you can save between 20-40% of your energy drafting in a group!
BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
Before creating a new team, check to see if your team exists already, or if you already know the team captain, ask them to send you the code for joining their team. (Not all teams require a code to join.)
If you create a new team, you automatically become the default Team Captain. The team captain has the choice of allowing anyone from the public to join the team or to add an access code to limit who may join.
TEAM DISCOUNT:
Teams consist of FIVE riders, and once the five registrant limit is met, all riders will receive the group discount.
Teams between five and nine riders will receive $9.00 off their registration price, and groups of 10 or more will receive an additional $2.00 off for a total discount of $11.00 off their registration!
