YMCA King Turkey Day 5K & 10K Race and 5K Walk

Since its beginning in 1980, this event has grown to become one of the area's premier road races.

The Worthington Area YMCA is proud to be the organizer for the Annual King Turkey Day Run/Walk Events. All King Turkey Day (KTD) events are held in downtown Worthington. Competitive races include a 5K & 10K and medals will be handed out to the top three finishers in each age categories.

Events also include a casual walk by the shores of Lake Okabena for families.

All races will begin at 9:00am and will be lined up with the walkers in the back of the crowd.

Both 5k and 10k race participants will receive bibs and all participants must wear them during the Run events.

Shirts sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after September 1st.

Packet pick-up:

Friday, September 13th, 2024, from 4:00-7:00pm at the YMCA (1501 College way)

Saturday, September 14th, 2024, from 7:30-8:30am near the starting line.

Packets will include bibs, event information, and t-shirts. Packets that are not picked up will only be held at the YMCA until September 30th, 2024.

Awards Ceremony:

There will be a brief ceremony to award medals to the top 3 finishers in each age category for the 5K and 10K races.
