Martin Marietta is proud to host the the Third Annual Boulder Dash at Charlotte Quarry 5K & 5 Miler on Saturday, September 28, 2024. This charity event provides runners with a unique race experience, as participants will run through a working rock quarry while navigating a fun and scenic course for all levels.
This 5K and 5 Miler event showcases the impressive quarry operation and large plant equipment while testing participants' endurance and abilities. Both 5K and 5 mile runners will travel along the rim of the quarry while the 5-miler goes through the plant site and into the pit with a 400-foot elevation difference. The 5-miler course also features a 14% incline as it descends 9/10ths of a mile down before turning for a climb upward. Think you're up for the challenge?
Martin Marietta will donate all proceeds to two of its impactful community organization partners - The McCrorey YMCA and the Park Community Development Corporation. See below for additional information.

- Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions
- Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God".

Top 3 Overall Male and Female
1st place Age Group winners for the 5K and 5 Mile (timed).
Age groups are as follows: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Additional Information:
All participants will receive a race day t-shirt and finisher medal. Continental breakfast will be provided.
This professionally timed event will be held rain or shine.
