5K Teams
Participating in a 5K event with a team brings an additional layer of fun to the experience. Plus, teams will receive a $5 per team member registration discount!
Team guidelines
- Teams require a minimum of four participants. The maximum number of participants per team is 15.
- The deadline to create/join a team is Friday, September 13 at 11:59 p.m.
- Teams do not apply to the 1-mile fun run, only the 5K event.
- To receive the $5 per team member discount, the Team Captain must complete registration forms for at least four team members, including themselves. Additional team members joining the team afterward will automatically receive the $5 per team member discount at checkout.
- If you are joining an existing team, you must indicate this on your registration form in order to receive the $5 discount. A refund and/or partial refund will not be given to those who want to join a team after they register.
Before creating a new team, visit the View teams tab to ensure your team has not yet been created.
How to Create a 5K Team
- Click Register to begin filling out your own registration form.
- Under the Team section in the registration form, select Yes, create a new team and add this registrant.
- Create a team name and code. The code should be easy to remember. This is necessary to prevent unwanted participants from joining your team.
- Answer any additional questions associated with team registration.
- Click add another registrant (this will bring you to a new registration form for the next team member).
- Fill out the registration form for the next team member.
- Repeat steps 5-6 for additional team members. Remember, teams require a minimum of four participants. In order to successfully create a team, you will be asked to complete and submit a minimum of four registration forms (including your own) prior to checkout.
- Click Continue to complete steps on the next pages and arrive at checkout. The final cost will reflect the $5 per team member discount.
- Share the team name and code with additional participants expected to join the team. They will automatically receive the $5 per team member discount.
How to Join an Existing 5K Team
If your Team Captain provided you with a team name and code to join an existing team, follow the instructions below. If you aren’t sure whether your team already exists, visit the View teams tab.
- Click Register to begin filling out your own registration form.
- Under the Team section in the registration form, select Yes, add this registrant to a team created by someone else.
- Select the team you want to join. You will be asked to enter a team name and code. Your Team Captain should provide this information.
- Answer any additional questions associated with team registration.
- Click Continue to complete steps on the next pages and arrive at checkout. The $5 per team member discount will automatically be applied to the final registration cost.
