Heart Beats:
Heart Beats Children’s Society of Calgary has been supporting families of children with congenital heart defects (CHD) since 1987. Many of these children are required to travel to the Stollery Hospital in Edmonton for life-saving heart procedures. Surprisingly, there is no public funding to assist these families with travel or accommodation expenses while in Edmonton. Funds raised from this event will provide much needed financial assistance for these families.
Event Details:
This year we are returning to Confederation Park for a 5km run and a 3km walk at 10:00 am. Please note that this is a fun event and is not timed.
We are also excited to host a free kids fun activity at 11:00 am, to be held by the Rosemont Community Centre. There will one activity suitable for those 7 and under and a separate activity for those 8 and over. All children registered for the activity will receive a medal and will be entered into a draw for prizes.
The package pick-up for all events is at Rosemont Community Centre from 9:00 am to 9:45 am, on the morning of the event.
Run and Walk Registration Fees:
Children ages 7 and under are free
Children ages 8 to 17 are $15
For all other participants there is Early Bird pricing of $30 for registrations up to May 17th. From May 18th to June 7th registration is $40.
We are also pleased to offer a discount for families of up to eight participants living at the same address. Please refer to the Discount section below for further information.
The first 300 registrants will receive a Heart Beats thermal / cooler bag and there is a special gift for our heart heroes.
Children's Activity Registration:
Although this is a free event, please remember to register to ensure every child receives their gift and is entered into the draw for additional prizes.
Awards:
All registrants will be entered into a draw for some amazing door prizes.

Household Discount
Please note that a discount of $20.00 per registrant is available for family households of up to 8 participants. The discount will be applied to the 4th to 8th participant. All participants must be registered during the same transaction and must reside at the same address.

Heart Beats is thrilled to be partnering with Roger's Birdies for Kids presented by Altalink (BFK). BFK is a non-profit program run under the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation which supports local charities.
