Winners of the Goose Chase Scavenger Hunt will be announced in the coming days, after all submissions have been reviewed by our judges. We have a 5-way tie for 1st place!

Who are the event organizers?

Turkey Trot is organized by the Rotary Burlington North to raise funds for local causes. New members are always welcome!

Who can participate in the Turkey Trot?

Anyone! Everyone! Adults, children, pets or corporate teams are all welcome to join a 5K or 10K race. The 1K Fun Run is meant primarily for kids. The 5K Walk is for anyone who enjoys Bronte Creek Provincial Park. Leased dogs and strollers are welcomed on the 5K Walk too!

Do the runs take place on paved road, paths or grass?

The majority of the 5K and 10K races take place on wide, smooth gravel paths.

What time do the Races start?

The 10K Run, 5K Run will start at 11:00am, followed immediately by the 5K Walk at 11:05am. The 1K Fun Run will start at 12:00pm.

What time does Race Registration open?

Registration for all races opens at 9:30am. All runners for the timed events are asked to arrive before 10:00am to ensure we can assign race bibs and get everybody to the starting line on time!

Will the 5K and 10K Races be timed?

Yes, both competitive races will be chip-timed.

Will there be food and beverages?

Fruit, water and pancakes will be available for Runners and Walkers the morning of the race. Other food options may be available for lunch (TBD).

What does it cost enter Bronte Creek Provincial Park?

Unfortunately, Bronte Provincial park has changed their policy towards supporting large events in the park.

Admittance to Bronte Creek Provincial Park is charged on a per vehicle basis. There is no per person charge and no charge for walking or cycling in. The fee covers the use of all areas of the day use side (with the exception of the pool) for one day.

• Daily Vehicle Permit: $18.00
• Senior Permit (65+): $14.50
• Disabled Permit (with proof of Ontario Disability Permit): $9.00
• Bus Permit: $62.50

Park Entry Passes Can be bought online 7 days prior to May 4th. Click here to purchase your pass online.

Passes can also be purchased at the gate on Race Day. We encourage you to buy online so that you do not need to wait in line at the Park Gate.

When / How do I get the Park Entry Pass that I got with my Early Bird Bonus?

Park Entry Passes that were obtained via the "Early Bird Bonus" will be distributed on Race Day (only). To claim the pass please go to the parking lot of Corpus Christi High School located at 5150 Upper Middle Rd. It is about 1Km just West of the Park’s entrance for Day Use facilities.

You will need an ID to claim the pass you bought.

Where should I park once I get into the park?

All participants are asked to go to Parking Lot ‘F’. This lot is located close to the Breckon Shelter where Race registration takes place. Parking Lot F and Breckon Shelter are located at the south end of the park. A map of the park can be found here: https://www.ontarioparks.com/park/brontecreek/maps

Can I stay in the park after the race ends?

What happens if it rains? Is there shelter at the race?

The Turkey Trot happens rain or shine. Although race organizers will use the Breckon Shelter for registration and food, there is not enough room in the shelter to hold all participants at once.

Please come prepared for the day. As they say, there's no such thing as bad weather, there’s just bad clothing!
