Be the Light Walk is a fundraising event in Green Bay, Wisconsin for the Brown County Coalition for Suicide Prevention. More than just a walk, it is a night of remembrance for those affected by or concerned about the issue of suicide. Many of the attendees are “survivors” of suicide, a term that refers to those who have lost a friend or family member to suicide as well as people who have survived their own mental health challenges.
The night includes music by 7000apart, a resource fair, Sean Elsten keynote message, and one-mile candlelight walk in Green Bay. Together, we walk to prevent suicide & reduce stigma. A gathering of inspiration & hope.
