The Florida Turkey Trot Presented by Publix is a 3.1 mile run/walk for all ages and abilities! Your registration includes a professionally managed race course, performance fabric race shirt, and a beautiful finisher's medal to commemorate your achievement. After you cross the Finish Line, celebrate with delicious Publix pastries and fruit while sipping on bubbly mimosas. All participants will also be given a special sweet treat to take home and enjoy! The first 100 Male and first 100 Female finishers will receive a special Thanksgiving themed award.

Dr. Mac's Kids Turkey Dashes (12 & Under)
Kids Turkey Dashes are age bracketed sprints of varying distances (3y-4y, 5y-6y, 7y-9y, 10-12y). Kids Turkey Dashers receive a finisher's medal and shirt.

Proceeds From The Race
The 2024 Florida Turkey will benefit the Big Bill Foundation and Nathan Benderson Park Conservancy.
The mission of the Big Bill Foundation is to provide scholarships to students who have battled childhood cancer or other life-threatening illnesses.
Nathan Benderson Park Conservancy is a not-for-profit 501c3 business created to manage Nathan Benderson Park (NBP), a community/public asset and world-class, multi-use sports venue. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for our community and be an economic generator for our region. The Conservancy’s primary purpose is to develop and promote NBP as a world class event center, team training site and Sarasota County park, while providing outreach programs through recreation, safety training, education and volunteering as a service to our community. All participants will receive a finisher medal. The Top 100 Overall Male and Top 100 Overall Female Finishers will receive a special Thanksgiving themed award. After you finish, please check in with the Registration tent to see if you're in the Top 100!
We value runner safety. In the event of severe weather or other hazardous conditions, the director(s) reserve the right to cancel the race for the safety of its participants. Registrations cancelled due to public safety concerns will not be refunded, but instead used to cover event costs, with the balance being treated as a charitable donation to the event beneficiary.
Conditions that may result in event cancellation include (but are not limited to): lightning, high winds, flooding, fires, and other acts of God.
