We invite you to join the Wainwright Runners, Saturday morning, Sept 21/2024 at 10:00am for the annual Bison Dash thru the heart of the town of Wainwright. Please note we have changed our event to Saturday. The 5K route has also been changed up this yr. We will be starting in the green space by No Frills parking lot (see the map below). The 5K loop route will take you through the walking trails of Wainwright, into Bevan's green area and up on the berm trail along highway 41 before you head back to finish line. This is a perfect route for your 5K personal best.

Bison Hardisty Series has been a great hit so if you ran the Bison Run you are in luck. Run or volunteer in all three races, the Bison Run, the Hardisty Trail Run and the Bison Dash you are a winner and will receive a commemorative medal.

Package pick up will be at MOONLIGHT BAY 2501 14 Ave, Wainwright, AB from 3:30-6:30pm on Friday Sept 20th. Directions HERE
For those travelling you can pickup your package the morning of the event on site from 09:00 am-10:15 am.
NOTE: An Adult must accompany kids 12 and under to the race site and must remain on site during the race. Thank You!

- Junior 17yrs and under (Male and Female)
- Open 18yrs - 34yrs (Male and Female)
- Masters 35yr - 49yrs (Male and Female)
- Seniors 50+yrs (Male and Female)
For the 5K Walk we have 2 category (Male and Female)
For the 2K kids Run we will have 2 categories (Male and Female)
Every year the Bison Dash has something new in the swag bag. We cannot guarantee swag to runners registering after August 31. This year runners will receive a Tech Shirt similar to our club shirts. Stay tuned for updates on 2024swag.
Awards, hand made medallions, will be presented to the top 3 runners in each category. They will be presented after all participants have crossed the finish line.
Manual timing will be done by Ellis Timing. All participants will receive a time. Results will be printed on-site.
