Marathon & Half Marathon Warm-Up Series
Born in 1986, the HARRA Warm-up Series has consisted of races run by organizations that dedicate part of their proceeds to support local charities. In fact, in the early days, proceeds from the events went to help install the trail lights in Memorial Park! Those preparing for the marathon find the gradually increasing distances of 10M, Half Marathon, and 25K spaced about a month apart, ideal for marathon training. The Half Marathon warm-up series also follows a progression of 5M (relay), 10K, and 10M races.
Although each race provides registration on individually managed sign-up pages, the HARRA bundles provided here offer a simple means of signing up for all races at once with a discounted total price, organized courtesy of the Houston Area Road Runners Association.

The series leads up to the Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Half Marathon on January 19, 2025.
The Houston 30K, traditionally the 4th race in the Warm-Up Series, is under new management and will be debuting in 2025. HARRA will provide Warm-Up Series Runners with a final non-competitive long run option in December 2024 hosted by USA FIT Houston. Watch HARRA communication channels for additional information.
