Whether you run, walk, or stroll, you are guaranteed an amazing day complete with music, food, bounce house, face painting, medals for the 5K participants, & more! Can't make it in-person or not local? Choose the virtual option! (Virtual runs are not included in final live race results)
Who are we?
Founded in 2003, Safe Families for Children is fueled by radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion. Oftentimes, children are on the edge of entering foster care, and susceptible to neglect or abuse. Safe Families steps in and provides families and children with a circle of support in various ways! Our goals are to prevent child neglect, reduce the number of children entering the child welfare system, and support families in their time of need.
TOGETHER we can create meaningful and supportive relationships that strengthen our Families & Community!

If your child wishes to compete in the 5K run, please have them choose the regular registration option. This is for children attending wishing to participate in walking, games, and family activities. Children 5 and under are free!

Want to be a part of our event....but just can't make it? Run with us virtually!
Here are the virtual race details!
- Choose your own course
- Run anytime between June 19th through June 29th, 2024
- Most importantly - have fun and enjoy the time outside!
🥇 Virtual participants can win the awards mentioned above for fundraising, recruiting AND we have one more category for you!
💥 Two awards will be given, one for the team that walks the most miles and one for the individual that walks the most miles between June 19-29!
*Your results will not be included in the in-person live 5K race results. Virtual results will be separate
Follow these easy steps to prepare for your tracking:
 TRACKING STEPS 1. Download the ASICS Runkeeper™ app to your phone and create an account or scroll down to log into an existing account Once you have completed your distance in the app, save your workout and it will automatically post to Race Roster results. (This step must be followed from your mobile device) |
 VIEWING AND POSTING MANUAL RESULTS If you plan to record using another software or tracking device or post manually from what is recorded on your watch, simply head here and "Submit Virtual Result" between June 19 - June 29. |
FAQS:
- To record with tracking on the ASICS Runkeeper™ app, you will need to run or walk with your phone or with a connected wearable (see instructions below)
- You do not have to track with these technologies, it is optional!
