My Story…
Hi everyone,
As many of you know, in May of last year we received the devastating news that Hudson had a large brain tumor near his brain stem. Thankfully, the incredible team at BC Children’s Hospital, led by Dr. Faizal Haji, were able to successfully remove the tumor after a tough 10 hour surgery.
Just over one year later, and thanks to the support and generosity of our friends, family, coworkers, neighbours, total strangers, and the incredible people at YANA, Hudson is doing absolutely incredible.
Hudson feels very fortunate, and has decided he wants to give back/pay it forward to an organization that supports families with expenses related to having a sick child, called You Are Not Alone (YANA). Every year they have a fundraiser called the YANA Ride. With the support of his family and friends, Hudson will be participating in a bike ride totalling 200km’s between August 1st and 18th.
Again, we feel so grateful for all the support we’ve received over the last 14 months and want to wish everyone participating the very best of luck!

Every dollar raised in the community goes to help provide financial support and accommodation to Comox Valley families who need to travel to access medical care for a child or pregnant mother.
$50 = 1 night stay at a YANA apartment in Vancouver near BC Children’s Hospital
$100 = 4 night stay at Jeneece Place, Victoria
$200 = YANA envelope of cash for family’s emergency hospital transfer
$500 = 3 nights Nanaimo hotel accommodation
$1350 = 1 month medical travel expense funding
